"If that is the case then what are you doing here? Most investors I know are investing for the "future". If it never comes, why bother?" I invest in the companies that are great in the past and right now! Not the company may be good and may be bad in the future. When I said "the future will never come", I mean you can always tell yourself that "tomorrow will be better, we will always have tomorrow." You could say this for years while none of those "tomorrow" is actually better. Good luck on your future chasing.
