What "Clinto zealots" are you talking about? The only zealots that are in evidence are of the anti-Clinton variety. Check out their websites!

There are plenty of Starr-bashing sites, too. Both sides are equally guilty of attracting the more rabid elements of their groups. Be fair.

The people who tend to support Clinton in the current controversy are, if anything, rather lukewarm, generally arguing only that

1) Starr's team had no business snooping into the President's sex life

They were tasked to "snoop" by the Attorney General, only after credible evidence of criminal conduct was presented. Why aren't you throwing stones at her?

2) it is not worth disrupting this nation's political life over so trivial a matter.

I agree wholeheartedly. There are much more serious investigations that are being heard by Starr's other two Grand Juries: Filegate, Whitewater, Castle Grande, Travelgate, and the Madison Guarantee fiasco. The last item cost taxpayers $60 million in bailout fees after Governor Clinton allowed it to stay open despite regulators' recommendations it be closed on grounds of insolvency and mismanagement. It was run by the McDougals, personal friends of the Clintons. At the very least, it looks as if there was a conflict of interest.

Still to come: the Attorney General's decision on whether or not to pursue campaign finance law violations, including allegations that missile guidance technology and/or classified material was sold to the Chinese to raise DNC cash.

Serious charges, indeed.
