I don't think one can read the gold market in isolation to determine its direction but rather one has to view the whole complex of commodities and of course as you have pointed out the currency, bond, and equities market, besides what is happening in the emerging markets. You have showed me enough of your work for me to assume that that is what you have been doing all along.
Although I know copper usually leads the commodity market, I guess I feel safer having some knowledge when there appears to be a general bottoming in commodities. So let the central bankers and politicians do their thing, when it is time for a change, the market forces will eat those bankers and politicians up big time.
Some analysts are getting more bullish on oil, although that appears to much of a wildcard because of turmoil in middle east etc.
Moment is afoot now for US government to aid farmers..not quite sure
how that will play out..read that US farmers are now creating havoc with Canadian farmers..is protectism beginning to show?
(also noticed that Brazil is beginning to impose some protectistic
like taxes..)
Thus it would be neat to also include allcommodities..especially perishable ones..to help cut through all the fog..
I have been assuming all along that we have been in a paper bull market since the early 80's and the opposite would be a bull in commodities..but now since most of the world has gotten poorer and it seems that most foreign governments don't care about providing food for their neighbors,I don't know if my assumption about the opposite occurring with happen..
too much hotair..sorry
