Mr. James Mead reports
OTC, a company contracted by IVS to manufacture its Trucklink wireless mobile
detection and vehicle location system for Mack Trucks Inc., has completed and
delivered the first systems order to Mack Trucks.
The mobile failure and detection and vehicle location system that IVS is selling to
Mack Trucks is a totally new technology.
The company was advised on Sept. 10 that a U.S. based wireless air-time
communications provider for both satellite ground plane communications services
had the IVS mobile failure detection system performance tested by an
independent electronics contractor. The company was told that the system passed
with flying colours and that the testing was rigorous, thorough, and far exceeded
the data processing performance standards required for the 2,500 systems
recently ordered by Mack Trucks.
The company has also begun negotiations with a worldwide distributor of test
products for the distribution and sales of the IVS Trucklink.
