Go to www.yahoo.com ....right below the place where you type in your search text is a link for:

Yahoo! Auctions - bid on and sell merchandise for free

with "for free" in BOLD text.

I am getting more concerned about Yahoo and it's war on Ebay. It seems far too much like Microsoft's war on Netscape. Microsoft began to give its browser away for free and crushed Netscape. Yahoo is no Microsoft, but it's still Yahoo and an incredibly powerful force on the Internet (I have some YHOO stock as well and really like the company).

Yahoo's auction site is still very primitive with few decent listings. But what happens to EBay in a few months or a year or two when Yahoo Auctions is more firmly established and they are STILL free. I still plan to buy some EBAY stock this week, but I am going to cut my initial investment roughly in half because of these concerns.

Any opinions on this subject?
