Took them about an hour to get to Tyler Matheson's filmed report.
It was as much about IPOs in general as about eBay throwing out such facts as over the past 10 years, the 4700 IPOs returned just 2.4% and 77% of 1998 IPOs were less than the offering price.
They said twice that IPO was to be tomorrow but because it was taped, I didn't have much confidence that they knew when it would come to market. I heard from another source that EBAY would be priced after the market close Wednesday.
Said that company was issuing 3.5 million shares of the 39 million outstanding. This values the company at about $600 million.
Why is eBay going ahead with the first IPO to occur for a month?
"By raising capital now, eBay can distance themselves from their competition."
Not a film piece that would catch the public's eye and make them
want to buy the stock in my opinion.
