Very positive report on CNBC a few minutes ago on the movie industry.
A study done by Paul Kagan Assocs and others conclude that the movie
industry actually does better in a recession. The study says that
during tough economic times people want to escape reality, thus more
movie watching. Kagan predicts movie industry will grow at a compounded rate of 8.1%/year for the next 15 years or so. Someone
who can take notes better than me, who watched, may have other things
to add but it seems very positive for vod. Now if we could just wake
up the cable companies.
