tops and bottoms when a stock is moving fast .... like with VVUS and the last 20 minutes of trading it moved up fast on no news I was already in from last friday ..... if I were not in I would not have chased it ... even though it moved up 2 dollars in those 20 minutes "know thyself" I am not fast enough and have a hard time finding entry in those movers. if I had no entry and chased it, I would have been late and bought at the top of the range, near the close. It gapped down today no news ... I sold I look for stocks with a flat trend for a time period of 3 to 10 days, make entry ... set a mental stop loss ... then I WAIT this is a postition type of trading, using technical analysis
