This thread is obviously full of AAPL shorts. Let me just give you shorters the bad news. Management is improved over the Spindler Sculley days. The Jobs news can only help the share price. Two consecutive quarters of results exceeding naysayers estimates. 9% market share is outstanding when considered manufacture to manufacture. However lax Apple may be in the marketing end, they have exceled in the R&D end, as evidenced by MacWindows 95. With so much end of Apple reporting, it may serve one to believe that a company with 9 Billion in Revenues is a fine investment. Other factors to consider.

1. On a dollar for dollar basis Apple is at least a match in Price performance comparisons. With the noted exception of the unreputable makers such as Packard Bell (which everyone I know that has one informed me they will not repeat purchase.)

2. Programs... I have never had a problem finding any software I was interested in for my Mac; although popular belief would have it that MAC programs are not available.

3. None of the Mac users I know have to hire an outside computer tech to come solve there problems.

I see the 30's in the next twelve months, so go ahead and short if you got the guts, it will just mean pent up demand for a stock I am long .
