Clark:

Actually, there is a bigger difference in Analog Vs. Digital than CDMA Vs TDMA.

Both CDMA and TMDA/GSM are digital implementations. It has been proven that CDMA offers as much as 7x the capacity as similiar analog networks. Furthermore, CDMA and TDMA/GSM are a far more secure form of communication. Next, the CDMA/TDMA/GSM phones batteries can last longer due to the fact that these digital phones don't need as much power to transmit.

Therefore, there is a bigger difference in Analog to Digital networks, than a CDMA Vs. TDMA implementation. However, there are many differences between the two (CDMA/TDMA). I will not go into them here, though. Lucent did have a tutorial about wireless communications for the layman/person.
