Johnathan, it's interesting that you would want to talk issues, since nobody else here does.
FYI, I'm pro-NRA, want limits on abortion (currently there are zero legal limitations on abortion for any reason at any point in a pregnancy), I am simply Christian, not Evangelical, though that is a fine point. I don't know of anyone who wants the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts repealed. As it is, anytime it rains here, the public (read: Govt) water agency issues a warning not to come into contact with the Willamette River, because everytime it rains, raw sewage runs into the river. It's been this way for decades. Yes, Portland, Oregon (across the river from me) is a liberal place, too.
I resent your question regarding race, I'm not a proponent of school prayer, and I'm opposed to school health depts handing out condoms. I think that more money should be spent fighting Medicare fraud, with more severe penalties for fraudulent Medicare billing. I think Social Security (a pension program for Workers) should be separated from Supplemental Social Security Income (SSSI) which is just another welfare program that augments AFDC, Food Stamps, etc.
I have on many occasions practically begged Michelle to discuss the issues, but my posts on issues are almost always ignored, or simply used as a jump-off point for frothy attacks on Christians, family values, etc. |
