No. No apologies. If they're ready -- and I still don't think they are fully ready for prime time -- they should just get the marketing underway and make their next announcement when they have their first major marketing partner signed up. Before they kick off full-force marketing, they should at least do some minor graphic re-design work on the site. For instance, the front page should promote music, as all commerce sites spotlight some of the products they're trying to sell. They also need to do some patient, serious testing of the database and back-end processing logic: make sure this is all top notch before making premature moves into the big time. There have been a lot of back-end problems that we couldn't necessarily detect from out beta testing of the interface, so they have to be damned certain that this is all functioning with 100 percent reliability before opening the floodgates. It'd be a disaster for them to get a thousand customers tomorrow and lose all the orders because of some foul up on the back end.

It's gratifying to see that the progress continues. We'll get there. Most important by far at this point is to make sure everything is done right. When you've got as many delays as we've experienced, it's all the more important to get the job done right. The only urgent "deadline" ahead of us right now is the Christmas shopping season, so let's focus on making sure everything is tip-top by then.
