One last thought....

I suppose it's possible to tweak the P-3 design in retrospect by excluding from the overall population being counted and compared some discrete subset of patients for a compelling reason -- e.g., the hospital burned down in the middle of treatment, a treating doctor was exposed as a fraud with only an electrician's license, etc. But other than massaging the statistical sample in ways that exclude some patients from the overall population and therefore from the placebo and/or BPI groups, I don't under the FAQ. I don't get it all.

Can anyone help out here?
