Yes, I intended bloodshed. I'm certain that many would grasp the opportunity to see as intolerable any substantial increase in what is already a significant sovereign indebtedness.

Oh boy.....

This makes me think of a recent article I read about Mr. Cuahut‚moc C rdenas, I believe in the Mexican magazine Proceso.

proceso.com.mx (In Spanish)

Mr. C rdenas, the son of the famous Presidente L zaro C rdenas, who in 1937 expropiated the Oil resources from Dutch, British and American interests... (Pemex was the eventual result of his deed).

(A side note about Pemex):

Pemex has not decided if it is the National Oil Company, or the National Employment Agency of Mexico. (that is a joke, as in one of the most lucrative posts in Pemex is the personnel chief(s), as being granted a job in Pemex is the surest thing to actually get your tax pesos back in your pocket), hence receiving a position in Pemex is a highly appreciated event, in fact so much so, that whoever grants you said job, usually receives a "kick back" (in fact many of them).... yes it is true.... yes it has happened.... and there may be possibilities that this practice may have stopped......(!)

Anyway, back to Mr. C rdenas, as the main candidate from the PRD (communists with a fancy name, i.e. Partido Revolucionario Democr tico) he won 10 months ago, the post as chief of the Government of Mexico City (D.F.), in a review today everyone seems disappointed as he has not achieved what was expected of him.

People seem unhappy and are not patient anymore, they demand results now !....

And remember that this man is bringing new ideas, supposedly from the "more in tune with the people directly"..... the big problem is that the mess is so gigantic that it is taking him all this time simply to figure out the old system, and how it could be improved, using honest methods....

Same thing for the International Scene..... Patience is going to have to be exercised.... are we all capable ? of overcoming the current crisis and do what is necessary ? I am personally not convinced that everyone's patience will hold up.

Let's hope that reason prevails....
