The certified solution uses International Verifact, Inc. (IVI) C2000 Protege Customer Payment Terminals and supports a dial protocol to BUYPASS. The certification includes credit, debit, and Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) transactions. The PINnacle(TM) Electronic Payment System provides retailers with complete control over their in-store payment system, including multiple POS and host processor interfaces, support for all payment and transaction types, flexible transaction configuration and prompting, comprehensive reporting and balancing, off-line and stand-in transaction support, and store and forward capability. The NTN certifications to BUYPASS confirm that the PINnacle(TM) Electronic Payment System and the IBM 4690 Supermarket Application successfully communicate accurate financial information between the point-of-sale terminal and the BUYPASS transaction-processing switch.
