Tokyo,

Where did you get your TV ratings information and do you have any more specific details?

I simply have to disagree that NASCAR is not a growth story anymore. Using TV ratings as the metric one would have to look at trends to determine that. I doubt a year to year comparison without looking back at 5 to 10 years would show that. It's like saying MSFT is losing steam because they had a down month in the market, the trend is more important than a time segemented snap shot. Just my opinion.

Where did the company say that 50th anniversary merchandise is meaningless?

The 50th anniversary stuff is really an anonomoly anyway. Nothing like it has occured before in Actions history and nothing like it will occur again until maybe the 75th. It's more or less a one time event and can't really be considered in valuing ACTN's long term potential or past performance. Unless you want to say that results year to date have been less than expected and that disapointment is compounded because they include the bonus 50th merchandise, which could be extrapolated to mean thier business this past year was less than it appeared. That's a lot of extrapolation though and I'm not sure how you quantify the numbers there.

We did seem to agree that Dale Earnhardt Jr. stuff is selling well. I don't think that was stressed enough however. There is a huge customer base for his merchandise. There is a huge fan potential for him. He is NASCAR's new Prince, the potential Jeff Gordon slayer. All those boos you hear for Jeff G. will most likely be the same people lined up at the Dale E. Jr. trailer buying a t-shirt. He's going to be huge. He is going to be a "50th" event that does go on for years and will add long term value to ACTN.
