RE: DirecTV and DirecPC Eric, Hughes is supposedly working on a receiver/dish that does both DirecPC and DirecTV. I don't know how they will accomplish this since the satellites involved are at different positions in the sky. Look for it early in 1997. I am waiting for the DirecTV version that I can watch on my PC! Microsoft and Hughes are supposed to be working on this as well. One feature of the system is reported to be data transfers for more information. Taking a look at the charts for DISH and USSB, I am wondering when this trend will stop. I got burned once on USSB and will do more homework this time before I get in again. DISH is supposed to be working on spot beams with local broadcasts, one of the biggest complaints from DBS owners. Until MCI gets untracked, DISH is the one to watch, second to DirecTV IMO. Happy Holidays to you and everyone at SI.
