Paul and Mary: Re: AMD K6 300 MHz for NoteBooks

If AMD can spin this chip for notebooks, why doesn't Intel respond with information that will help consumers listening to NPR or CNBC understand the differences between this and Intel's notebook chips?

Am I crazy to believe that press releases can give straight information to consumers (and shareholders) if that's what the leadership wants?

I'm not arguing. I am thinking and wondering how we really get the straight information, whether on power consumption or other features.

Hope you will try to explain how this works for those who don't have inside information and a history in the industry.

Thanks, dmf
