Damn these pullbacks! I want to see us break 48, period. No settlement news = no sustaining $48/share.

On another note, an interesting piece from NPR according to Bloomberg:

NPR'S MORNING EDITION, Sept. 23, 1998: NPR's Mark Moran in Phoenix reports on Arizona's continuing $500-billion dollar lawsuit against cigarette makers. Attorneys for tobacco companies have demanded textbooks used during the 1950s from the state's largest school districts to demonstrate the risks of smoking were taught. School officials say the request only amounts to harassment.

Harrassment? How dare these insignificant pukes claim that they are the ones being harassed! If anyone is being harassed it is the tobacco industry. Harassed and bullied by governments to settle and pay out big bucks, or else they'll simply vote to change their state laws to make sure tobacco loses. How much longer are we going to take this crap? If anyone on this thread, poster or lurker, is from AZ, do yourself a favor and mail them a letter telling them that this is ridiculous!

later,
geoff
