Hi John,
I am using Metastock for stock charting and learning about it. The stocastic chart was up at 80% and coming down in the last few days to about 50%. When in curves back up around the 20% line it is a signal to buy.. This is all short term signals. There is an other chart that is called MACD. That one gave a buy signal last week but that does not seem to be calling it correct unless it is a longer term player.. Again I am just learning. I happen to work at CBS. I handle the audio on some of the shows. They are working on trimming costs and departments here. We hear the same rumors you do about CBS News talking about consolidating with CNN.. The would close the world wide news bureaus. But who knows how many they have left now..Not to much real news happening right now in the direction CBS is going. I would like to know that myself. One of the rumors were the broadcast building was sold and we were going to be moving and that faded also..
My friends who chart the stocks say- if you watch the news you loose.
Usually the big boys know what is happening before we hear it. So they follow the charts and see what the market makers are doing. Lets all wish CBS up up up soon.
Jay
