Betty,
After my 15 minute chance to edit I realized both Miacalcin and Miacalcic are calcitonin-salmon. I think Miacalcic might be the European name for the same thing. Searching the Novartis web page has both listed in separate references but I don't see anything explaining the difference for the two names.
