The Dow is up over 100 points, the disk drive stocks have bounced strongly off their lows (QNTM, SEG, WDC, RDRT, even APM), and the thread has gone to sleep. Where are all the cheerleaders telling us how to make our millions? Where are Lawrence Kam, Stitch, Yogi, et al, when we really need level, clear-headed advice on what to buy and sell? The truth gradually becomes clear. These former friends are too busy raking in the chips (disk drive stocks are pink chips due to their tendency to give stockholders nosebleeds if the stockholders hold them too long) to stop and smell the roses. Certainly, these former friends are too busy to give any of their former friends/acquaintances any helpful advice. The market recovers. But will our friendship? Larry the Cheerful
