Hey he has me. I speak some french, english,Diby Necker and a bit of Newfenese and some pig latin.I was only joking Savant. I have seen so many really smart kids who are coming out of school and University now who submit resumes and they can't spell. I blame it on the wholistic Language approach as opposed to the Phonetic style of learning with spelling exercises.I hate wholistic although it is supposed to create "risk takers" so the say and develops the more colorful language.Up until grade 4 there is no spell check in place. Spell it as you think it sounds and it is OK. Then at grade 5 they say how come you can't spell up to grade level or read well.
No one tells them it is wrong until then and it is an engrained habit that is difficult to correct. When confronted with this normal risk takers excel while the few that get lost in the shuffle end up being pushed through so as not to affect their self esteem.I disagree with it completely.
