Today just about everyone has a PC because it is cheap. Companies such as CPQ, DELL, GTW, HP, etc. MADE BILLIONS OF PROFITS just selling cheap IBM clones. The masses is where money to be made. Intel made BILLIONS just selling cheap CPUs (cheap compared to SUNW, MIPS, etc.). You have forgotten the history of PCs. <<I doubt Intel will be caught off guard in this market the way they were surprised in the sub $1k desktop market. >> That is why they will come out with the Pentium-300MHz MMX mobile next year. This is a smart move to counterattack AMD move but it will kill PII mobile line. Maxwell
