The real key is urgency....E.g., a buyer of 500 XYZ meets a seller of 500 XYZ (last sale 23) Buyer says, I'll bid 22 3/4 for 500....seller says, I'm asking 23 1/4....buyer counters I'll go 23 even...seller counters, I'll take 23 1/8. "Done" says, buyer. (stock now up 1/8). (Buyer more eager than seller for the trade). Hope this helps. Don
