Well I was not intending to be mean, but I did want to thoroughly expose your lack of coherent intellectual content. I stand by my description of the content of your contribution on this thread today. As I indicated later, I half suspected your refusal to address the issue seriously contained an element of a put-on. But you resolutely refused to address the questions I put to you earlier. What was the point of your posting that article that you thought so worthy of note and I found to be an attempt at humor that failed to make any intelligent point? Perhaps on a second go-around you may be willing to state your point, if indeed there is one.

But let me correct you. My attack on you was not ad hominem. I stated why I considered your post to be so idiotic- namely your failure to come up with a coherent message when you seemed to think you were saying something of merit. You seemed to me to want to leave an impression about Mr. Starr- a mean spirited one at that, I would say- without having to engage either your own mind or that of the reader. [In that respect, you remind me of Thomasso on this thread, who will cast insults without feeling the need to justify his claims in any way- and for that reason I consider him not only a cretin, but a piece of human excrement as well]. You failed to link ideas in the most elemental way. When challenged, you blithely walked away from the field of intellectual battle. I attacked the process by which people arrive at what they think are conclusions based on an absence of thought- and I bluntly identified it for what I saw it to be. So kindly have the intellectual honesty not to refer to my attack on you as ad homimem.

P.S. It's true, I have a rather dim view of the intellectual capacity of humanity taken as a whole- and it's not because I am so brilliant. I do, however, try to engage my mind- something I claim you have refused to do today on this thread. Any species that so thoroughly trashes the earth that sustains all life that we know, or that so systematically tortures animals for no reason other than to satisfy culturally determined desires is not one whose intelligence or soul I admire. So I will not defer to the majority's concept of what constitutes "spiritual healing".
