<<Democrats, in general, do not show that pattern of behavior, whereas the Republicans do, and overwhelmingly so>>
Which behavior, adultery or moralizing? I would disagree with you on both. We have no evidence either way regarding adultery, but there is no reason to think the Democrats are immune. They just haven't been victimized by the private investigations (yet). As to moralizing, the whole concept of political correctness is a Democrat issue, and absolutely involves moralizing and the use of thought police. Since part of political correctness involves respect for women, the support of Clinton and the lack of condemnation from his supporters regarding the adultery and callous treatment of Monica would be hypocrisy.
<<And clearly, the Republicans have repeatedly lied>>
SOME Republicans have lied, as have some Democrats, repeatedly. But if you are referring to a lack of comment regarding past sins, I don't consider that in the same category. Lying through omission is wrong, but I still think that lying through commission is worse. Of course, the Democrats are just as guilty of the lies of omission. My point to you is that you are only looking at one side - both sides are equally guilty. |
