Uh, duh, but where did you "get it"? I remember Client for
Microsoft Networks (and the choices mentioned) from
Win 95, but in my NT Workstation properties I have no
such page as configuration, and on the Services page
I have Workstation and Server, but they have no properties to
configure.


This is only for 95/98. With NT if you don't want to logon to a domain you change the selection in the domain field of the login box to the local computer and your set. To Change domain or workgroup goto start->setttings->control panel->network->identification->change.
That will do it....

There are major differences between the Way domain and workgroups authenticate users and handle security issues.
