FYI, the gritch Java client you load from www.isld.com is an Island order book viewer. It is not level II, though it will show a view of open limit orders in the Island ECN (electronic crossing network?) at some point in time. It is like level II in that it shows buy/sell strength at different price points, but it is not like LII in that the entire market (hundreds of market makers and several ECNs) are not represented. It is free, when it works, but you get what you pay for! (Oh, and if you try to run several windows ... plan on re-booting - usually just when trying to confirm a trade ;-).)
