Any thoughts why Ascend would be making these announcements on the eve of Lucent's Oct 1 date?>> Mory wants $100, he will not get it if his company looks like an order of "Sisters Of The Poor". Also, I think some of the takeover talk that seems to say "LU could be the 'salvation' of ASND" really grinds on Mory, and I can understand that. He and his guys are smart engineers, playing second fiddle to no one. A secondary reason for some of these these deals and announcements seems to be to send a message that ASND really can take care of itself. He's put me on a stomach churning roller-coaster ride, but I admire the guy. jww
