CHIPNHOLE, you are not the only person asking about the financial situation concerning EVDS. So I got off my rear end and called Jim Crehan, Chairman of EVDS to ask a few questions. I really had not done enough investigation along these lines because I have had such great faith that EVDS has such a terrific product in the CAPSCAN that they really don't need much cash but that's probably being more than a bit blind so I thought I had better ask for myself as well as other investors.

Here is what I found out. In the EDSi investment booklet which I have are some financial projections that were put together by Communications Capital Corporation. There are some truly outstanding forward looking projections in this booklet but the surprising thing is that they are actually quite a bit too conservative in several areas. How so you might ask? Well for starters EVDS has raised over $5 million in working capital with the shares that they have issued. In the booklet I have and in the numbers which show up in the first newsletter I send to you on EVDS you will see that Communications Capital had estimated the number of shares issued to be 16,588,658. That number is wrong. The company has only issued 12,588,658 shares. There is a commitment for another 20% to be issued next February which would bring the grand total to just slightly over 15 million shares. The additional 20% issued in February of 1999 will be restricted for one year. The float of a bit more than 3 million shares would be accurate but as you can see earnings will be higher than expected because of the lower number of shares than what was previously estimated.

Now here is some of what is really neat. EVDS has been attending trade shows and will be at another one tomorrow. The company is already booking pre orders at a rate that is absolutely astounding. You see they are showing off the hand made CAPSCANs and orders are being placed that will become actual orders as soon as the manufactured product can be delivered. The only stipulation being that the manufactured product work like the hand made. It will work just fine. There is no real competition for this product. EVDS only needs 15% of the $5 million they have on hand to get these orders rolling and move into black. I won't tell you the number of pre orders I have heard but if EVDS makes all these sales we will see the company have more than just a great 1998, 1999 will be terrific too.

The web site will be ready soon. Perhaps as early as next week. I am reading between the lines from what Jim Crehan said but I think we can expect more good news on the wire soon as well. I think their current weather troubles have been slowing down the finalization of some newsworthy events. Don't hold me to this but maybe next week we will see some really good news.
