Yes, and a physicist. I and Dr. Andrew Strominger developed a theory of quantum gravity that would unify all the forces of nature. He stole most of my ideas -- or so I thought at the time -- and I became an unlicensed surgeon, operating on graduate assistants in Strominger's lab. After a long sabbatical as a guest of the state, my focus moved naturally from analysis to technical analysis. With the proper medication, I find my interest in surgery has waned.
