Thanks for the info on the site. DejaNews is something I had not seen before (and that is rare for me considering how much I surf).

Actually, earnings in December are not unusual. 3Com just announced their earnings for the 2Q96 last week. It depends on the accounting calendar companies use. I'm not sure, but I doubt there is any SEC requirement for filing after the quarter ends so long as it is before the end of the next quarter. This is why MVSI has to announce their earnings before Dec. 31 since that is the end of their 1Q97. The big disadvantage of announcing at this time of year is that the markets are usually quiet at this time of year. If the earnings are good, they may not get the boost they may have gotten if they had announced early in Dec or soon after the quarter ended in Sept. This logic also applies if the earnings are bad too (lets hope this isn't the case).
