Greenspan is easing in order to avoid the biggest global financial collapse in history. If he doesn't step in '29 would look like a picnic IMO. I hope you all have subscription to WSJ online. interactive.wsj.com it makes good bedtime reading... they've been working on this one for a week. His comments on easing & the approval of CCI/TRV merger are all related to tens of trillions in jeopardy in derivative losses right here at home.
