High Priest:

K6 did outperform the Pentium and Pentium Pro. It was the fastest X86 CPU running Windows95 at the time AMD introduced the chip. Intel regained the lead with PII a month later. AMD fought back with the K6-2 and topped PII in 3D performance but still trailing under Winstone and NT benchmark. The K7 will fix that and AMD will once again regain the leadership as the fastest CPU in the world. "You will not be disappointed", Atiq said.
