I understand that my statement about Thomasso was quite strong and not in the best taste. There's quite a history here, however, and as far as I am concerned he owes me an abject apology that I have every reason to believe will not be forthcoming. I can back up my claim that Thomasso hurls insults without bothering to justify them, and I for one find it quite deplorable [I am not referring to anything on this thread]. By the standards of many- and he has many supporters on SI- that is quite an acceptable practice. It stinks, and so do the people who did it. Thomasso is one such person.
As for saying "piece of excrement" is one of my favorite expressions- that, sir, is simply not true. I have said that exactly once on SI, and it certainly encapsulates my sentiment about Thomasso and people of his ilk you will make strong statements about other peoples character and intellect without backing up their claims. Would it be expecting too much of you to be honest in your criticism of me?

No logical connection between what I said, and your "in other words ...". It would be nice if you would not put words in my mouth- I suggest, sir, that your attributing ideas to me that are not mine is corrupt. I agree, that may have been an excessive rhetorical flourish on my part, but it is an accurate measure of the contempt I have for thought process engaged in by Borzou that snidely mocks people like Kenneth Starr without engaging in their intellects. When I asked him some questions about what he was saying, he indicated he thought it was obvious. I would much prefer civility reign on SI, but as I see it neither Thomasso nor Borzou see fit to play by those rules. I understand you feel I have erred by fighting fire with fire, and perhaps you are right.
I do sometimes say harsh things about people and their thought processes. It needs to be kept within some limits. I do pay them the respect of stating why I hold that opinion. That is more than the likes of Thomasso and Borzou will do [I hold Thomasso in much lower regard, as he does it personally; I have "only" seen Borzou do it to a public figure he wishes to ridicule]. Thanks for your words- except where you took it upon yourself to expand on my thoughts and to attribute them to me.
