Joe: I respectfully disagree. Controlling industry within a culture/society arises from within the parent society. South Africa is in metamorphosis, not transition. De Beers did not arise from the African culture and represents European opportunism. Right or wrong, Black Africans resents the European Diamond industry and I'll wager nationalization will occur. Kill the golden Goose -- no, just cut out the middleman. Everyone knows the diamond market has false support. Personally, I would not want to be long on diamonds or De Beers. Ciao, Ted
