****CONVERSATION WITH MM**** Conversation with Maura Marx - Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing which took place on September 23, 1998.
NOTE: THIS IS UN-REVIEWED DRAFT, WILL POST REVIEWED COPY AND OR CORRECTIONS AS NEEDED.
Q: About the Atlanta Trade Show, what happened? A: SIEMENS originally planed to participate at the show in October because their fiscal year starts in October as well. Unfortunately the restructuring was also planned before October for the same reason, so the show was cut really due to the timing of their fiscal year. FNTN was offered by SIEMENS to be in another booth but we did not think this is what we want it, so we passed on that offer.
Q: Was FNTN the only other company in the SIEMENS booth? A: Yes.
Q: How does SIEMENS restructuring affect FNTN? A: Actually the impact is positive for the following reason. Bob Grenier, Regional Director at SIEMENS, has been with FNTN from the beginning. He has "intimate" relationship with us. As a result of the changes at SIEMENS, Bob has become more visible and has access to more key people within the company.
Q: What's going to happen next with regard to other trade shows? A: Tomorrow (Thursday) I and Michael will have conference call with Bob and somebody responsible for SIEMENS trade shows. We'll go over the future trade show dates. SIEMENS "owes" us and we hope to use it.
Q: Was Atlanta the big show you did not want to miss? A: No, the most important show is next year in NYC and that's the technology trade show.
Q: Will FNTN get the booth space from SIEMENS for free? A: Yes, we just pay for our material.
Q: Is "Advanced Charting" still on schedule for this week? A: Yes.
Q: Is SIEMENS just a vendor to FNTN? A: No, No, No. They're Strategic Partner.
Q: What about informing investors about FNTN activities? A: We will post Periodic News updates on our web site, this way FNTN can communicate more productively with investors.
Thanks Maura for your time,
