A bear likes NOVELL:

Network opportunities
Which networking companies present the most opportunity for investors in this market?
Again you get into a problem of valuation, because the companies in the best positions are also the ones that are most overvalued. Valuation aside, obviously Cisco is the gorilla among the data networking markets. It has been able to gain market share at the expense of its competitors and maintain a slowing, but still vibrant, growth rate. They've done well and there is a tendency among large corporations to want to buy from a single vendor. And Cisco's strategy is to offer everything they can in the data-networking world. If we had a correction, Cisco would be an attractive company.

Which other networking companies do you find attractive from a valuation standpoint?
I think that Cabletron (CS) is an attractive value here at $10. The stock is down 75% this year. Their market valuation is only $1 billion and they have sales of $1 billion. Novell (NOVL) is another company that hasn't seen much in terms of stock price increase this year. They have plenty of cash and a new exciting product cycle on its way. It's still attractive at these levels. But I would not be a buyer of anything else in this market.,

**Well-known tech-stock bear Fred Hickey believes techs are still overvalued and the best strategy is a waiting game until prices fall.
