I would have to agree with you on the importance of Java integrated in the database. IMHO ORCL is using Java as a language in the database rather than a platform. Under such a scenario the only real benefit is that you have greater programmatic control of procedures embedded in the database. Granted the number of potential developers increases but that would also be true if VB was integrated instead of Java. syborg
