I'm not sure what you are calling contrarian here. Prior to yesterday, I think that the great majority either expected a retest of the 7400 area or expected prices to go much lower. The percent of those comparing the present to 1929 was on the increase. Almost nobody thinks that the market will exceed 10,000 any time soon, although that opinion was relatively common a year ago.

Are you calling that the common opinion or contrarian view?
