Igor,

>>Could we agree that the merger related problems are cleared?<<

yes and no. The INVENTORY channels are all cleared, and
modems standards are set. Modems are being accepted
and starting to sell. The company has reversed the trend. They have good momentum to go forward and won't be going backwards. The USRX side of business (and the COMS side as well) is MUCH MORE under control whereas before it was out of control. BUT, they are not cranking at the same high speed as a year ago, which is reflected in
the price. Soon enough the old growth will be back. Europe
for example is picking up and the company is gaining market share,
which is more important than big profits at the moment.

Let's just hope that Greenspan and Ruben can avert a giant
worldwide recession with the E.Asia flu.

>>3COM's price drops may be due to momentum players exiting.<<

yes, it could be that there were more traders involved than
I figured.

>>A lot of people bought this stock on the hope that the company turn around theme would have generated a big jump on the stock price.<<

Yes, could be lots of people wanted that instant pop. And then
they bail out. Maybe the institutions know this and will wait
a bit to get in.

>>My feeling is that institutions may be shying away from this stock since the company earnings have been reflecting that 3com is becoming more of a low margin business.<<

Maybe, but I don't think that was the message given from
the earnings report. Unless one looks at only superficial
things. JMO.
