What would YOU do?????
I'm sitting here watching the Market and all of a sudden one of my stocks takes off.... ATWD is up 4 3/4 and over 10% since I bought it.... I'm also watching one of my stocks KEG slowly go down and it too is getting close to 10% from where I bought it... The problem is it's going in the wrong direction.... What should I do????
This is an opportunity ALL of you will face at one time or another so you might as well give it a try at my expense.... My emotion tells me to SELL ATWD to lock in my profit... No, I have not seen any real reason to sell because my indicators still say LONG but why shouldn't I take my profit off the table and run...... 4 3/4 points in ONE day is nothing to laugh at!!!! On the other hand, I'm looking at KEG and my emotion is saying, "GIVE IT ONE MORE DAY, IT WILL TURN AROUND!!
I KNOW what I will do BUT, what would YOU DO??????
At the time of this writing it is around 1:00PM... I do not know why ATWD jumped but I'm sure I will find out... If it turns out to be some type of take-over I will SELL as soon as I hear the news... Other then that, I will HOLD until my Indicators tell me to sell... Am I being greedy??? NO!!!! I am following the system that got me there... I'm dancing with my StockRSI (14)..... Will ATWD continue to rise or will I wish I sold today at it's peak???? NO ONE knows for sure...... As far as KEG goes,,,, A little more room BUT not much more..... Another down day and it's history.......
Is this cut your losses and let your winners run ??? To me it is. Then why is my EMOTION jumping up and down SCREEMING for me to do the opposite????? THAT'S why I use TA.. My systems MUST win out over the emotion and I'M the only one who can assure it will.
