Bill, I was referring to the hard and floppy driveless machines that are what is usually referred to as net PCs. Of course networked desktops won that battle and the imac is a desktop with a network connection and with a hard drive.
Some thin clients based on software like citrix are successful as net PCs too, but they often have hard and floppy drives so they do not really conform to the mold. The stated model was a PC that would download all apps and run from a server, it failed.
Looks like the imac seems to sell well?, is it profitable?
