Okay now I see your point. A couple of responses. I plotted these lines a little thicker than normal for visual simplicity...so it looks closer to a cross than it is.

This chart was done yesterday afternoon before yesterday's continuing upward movement. Yesterday's results are NOT included.

More importantly to address your point....a near flat or trending crossing becomes a little ambiguous...they don't occur too often...and may not here...but it then becomes a judgment as to how quickly to react.

If you're buying and selling stocks quickly...you're out the transaction cost on a safe sell or buy...and yes they can add up..

That's when other indicators can help make the call including the WEEKLY chart.
