lightfoot, most people are leary of gold right now, but many things are pointing to gold going up. Two gold stocks got upgraded today to a buy. It's because of the talk of an interest rate cut and the weaker dollar. I have also noticed in the last several evenings that gold has been going up when it opens in Asia, you can watch it at Kitco, anyway that means Asians are buying. I think Japan is starting to dump the US dollar and is buying gold, Hashimoto warned of this last year, if the US dollar got weak. An analyst on CNBC yesterday said that he thought gold could hit 350/oz. next year. The Dow and gold move inversely. Japan for the last three weeks has been putting out press releases that say the Yen will improve against the US dollar. I don't know what they have up their sleeve, but I do know that gold has been going up and the Yen has been improving and the US dollar weaker. I understand Japan has 2/3 of all of the foreign invested US dollars out there. I think gold will pop over the next several days. All IMHO.
