All I know about is this SEC Form 8-K filing.
excite.elogic.com

--EXCERPTED--
On September 14, 1998, the Registrant publicly disseminated a press
release announcing that it has developed a new silicon-on-insulator wafer
manufacturing process which doubles the throughput of the Ibis 1000 oxygen
implanter compared to the standard SIMOX-SOI material presently being used by
integrated circuit manufacturers. The wafer process is a new version of the
Registrant's proprietary Advantox product line, and is applicable to
state-of-the-art advanced logic circuits used in high performance computers as
well as low power portable devices.

This and the IBM news should be generating institutional interest in the stock as evidenced by recent increases in volume. Note also that there have been large block trades going through in the last 5 minutes of trading. Wednesday - 1 block of 30,000 shares followed by another of 15,000, both between the bid and the ask. And today 1 block of 1000 at the ask, then another block of 3500 between the bid and the ask after 4 pm est.

Clearly there is support for the stock at these levels. On a day of profit taking, just after a $1 rise yesterday, we give back 1/8. Not bad!

There may be more news already out that I'm not privy to. And there is the IEEE International SOI Conference coming up in Stuart, Florida - October 5-8, 1998. There should be some news coming out of that meeting.

Things looked pretty bad going into this month. Now that we are going out of it, the future for IBIS is looking up. Oh what a difference a lunar cycle makes!
