Franklin Allies With Power & Telephone Supply to Resell Tempest System
Tempest Provides International Distributor With VoIP Product Line
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1998-- Franklin Telecom (OTC:FTEL - news) Thursday announced that it has contracted with Power & Telephone Supply Co. (www.ptsupply.com) to distribute its Tempest line of products.
From its headquarters in Memphis, Power & Telephone Supply and its subsidiaries serve utility and communications markets worldwide, with emphasis on North America, the United Kingdom, Western Europe and Pacific Rim countries. Power & Telephone, with 400 employees, currently operates 15 distribution centers in the United States, plus centers in Canada, Great Britain and the Philippines.
The Tempest System includes three core products: the Data Voice Gateway which enables Voice over the Internet or private lease lines from any telephone to any other telephone; the AMAS system which monitors and tracks calls; and the Billing System. The Franklin Tempest System has been selected by Power & Telephone Supply as the first line of VoIP products to be included in their distribution portfolio. Power & Telephone has also qualified Franklin as an approved vendor to the federal government.
