The View from Silicon Valley by T.J. Rogers
"San Jose's immigrant population is among the nation's highest. Yet competition for workers here is so intense that the average wage in 1996, the most recent year for which Labor Department figures are available, was $44,819, compared with the national average of $30,250."

WOW! You guys in Silicon Valley are RICH … $44,819 per year. WooHoo! Hard to believe there's a "shortage" with wages sky high. And such a cheap place to live.
I'm all for it under two conditions:
1. We increase the quotas for doctors and lawyers by the same percentage.
2. I can obtain a work visa just as easily anywhere on earth.
Bill Gates, T. J. Rodgers, and Andy Grove support this bill.
