Herb----I am rather new here so will say what I remember and hope
that you or others will update me.

I think only a very few of the Oxygen Implanters exist. IBM has
one or two, maybe Motorola has one and I assume IBIS has a couple.
I believe IBIS licensed IBM so they could make the equipment them-selves.

IBIS sells the oxygenated wafers in the market.

Recently IBIS said they have increased the throughput of their
machine.

IBM said the other day that they are producing faster, better chips
by using Copper. I am guessing that they are also using the Oxygenated wafers for this, but it was not so stated.

I would further guess that IBM could be talked into buying IBIS
so these machines would not get to their competitors easily.

Does this make sense ?? I know I have oversimplified this.
I am not too old to learn, but have trouble remembering what I
learned.

Thanks.
